In the lanes of Mirzapur, we found stories — told not in words, but through threads, knots, and hands that have been weaving for generations. We saw how carpets there weren't just products — they were portraits of time, each one a dialogue between heritage and heart.
But somewhere, that art was losing its voice — treated as décor, forgotten as design.
The Carpet Project was born from a desire to change that.

I hail from Mirzapur and my father has been in the carpet business for over 20 years. The Carpet Project is being started by my wife and me.
For years, Mirzapur has been known as a place where carpets are made. Factories. Production lines. Bulk orders. That's where our journey began too — as manufacturers, working behind the scenes, creating carpets for others.
But over time, we realised something was missing. The craftsmanship was there. The skill was there. But the stories, the designs, and the value were getting lost in volume.
So we decided to do things differently.

The Carpet Project is our way of taking Mirzapur's carpet-making heritage into a new generation — one that shops online, values design, and looks for quality over quantity.
